I modeled the crown on four positions, like the classic GMT setting sequence. Below is how that maps here: not a manufacturer document. Use the EZ / RL side button to switch Easy (drag the hour or minute hand after you unlock clock mode) vs Realism (set time with the crown only, closer to the manual procedure).
On a real GMT-Master II, crown positions 2 and 3 accept turns either way; position 1 winds clockwise only (the manual says the other direction has no effect). This page maps crown scroll/drag to stepped controls: position 2 adjusts local hour by ±1h, while position 3 adjusts reference time minute by ±1m.
- 0 Screwed against the case
- Normal wear. Double-click the crown or drag it toward the dial centre until it seats. No scroll adjustment.
- 1 Unscrewed, pushed in
- Double-click to screw down, or drag away from the dial to open. Scroll or drag on the knurled crown for feedback (this widget does not simulate mainspring winding).
- 2 First notch
- Pull outward one step. Scroll/drag adjusts local hour in one-hour steps (both directions). There is no quick-set date: the date changes only when the local hour crosses midnight.
- 3 Second notch
- Pull to the outer stop. The seconds hand hacks. Scroll/drag adjusts the reference-time minutes; the 24-hour hand tracks that reference movement. Set this first, then return to position 2 for local-hour jumps.
Everything else
- Reset: Side button puts the widget back to shipped defaults (offsets, crown, seconds mode, EZ/RL, LNK/DEC, bezel). Site theme presets are unchanged.
- Bezel: Drag to rotate the 24-hour insert; it is cosmetic on this page.
- Multi-click: With the crown unscrewed, two quick clicks pose the hands at ~10:10.
- 4Hz / SD / QZ: Side button cycles the seconds hand: eight-step tick (4Hz style), smooth sweep (spring-drive style), or quartz one tick per second. Always available.
- Padlock: Unlocks clock mode for the site theme; GMT / CLK switches how the reference hand moves.
- LNK / DEC: Linked keeps the watch and Majora arc in sync; Decoupled lets the watch run independently.
- Easy mode: Drag the minute hand for minute steps (even in GMT hand mode). Drag the red 24 h hand to step the reference offset one hour per 15°. Scroll on the date window changes the date numeral (display only; not tied to crown quickset).
