About

I built git-fire to push everything out in an emergency. git-rain is the companion: it discovers local git repos and syncs them from their remotes in one shot, fast-forwarding branches, updating refs that are not checked out, and refusing to rewrite local-only commits unless I explicitly opt in.

Tests use git-testkit for real repos in isolation. The same library I use for git-fire. Shared orchestration for both tools lives in git-harness, so git-rain stays on the same git primitives instead of a forked copy-paste layer.

I ship it with a Bubble Tea TUI for picking repos, dry-run first, safe vs risky modes, and a registry so repeat runs stay predictable. MIT licensed.

The git-rain and git rain invocations behave the same when the binary is on your PATH.
